Mini Food Pantry

Trinity worked with a local Scout Willaim Gwinn and architect Ray Vanvoorhis, as William’s Eagle Scout project, to establish a mini food pantry on our property.  The small pantry stores food items donated by local families, groups and churches to help out our neighbors in need in our local communities.  The pantry is finished, and you can check here to find out what items will be needed to be donated to keep the pantry well stocked. Anyone in need can take whatever they need—no questions asked.

Participants may email us for further information at info@trinityfishkill.org or call our parish office at 845-896-9884 and leaving a message.

Mini Food Pantry items that we need at Trinity on a consistent basis will be kept up to date on a regular basis here.  Local churches in Fishkill will also take turns each month making sure the pantry is kept supplied.

Fishkill Food Pantry

Trinity recommends contacting the Fishkill Food Pantry, located next to the First Reformed Church of Fishkill at 1153 Main Street.  They provide a five-day supply of food to local residents of Southern Dutchess County during food emergencies. Clients may obtain help once every six weeks. Volunteers provide services to persons in need five days a week. Their work includes food shopping, stocking shelves, packing bags, and collecting donations for the pantry.

Thanksgiving Food Baskets

Each year, Trinity parishioners share in the abundance of the season by providing Thanksgiving dinners for a number of needy families in our immediate area. In cooperation with the Grace Smith House (who provides us with transitioning recipients’ names and addresses), Trinity collects and/or purchases all the ingredients for a Thanksgiving turkey dinner. Grocery bags, with shopping lists attached, are available in church beginning in early November and are due back by a set date. Parishioners are invited to participate by taking a bag (or two) or by making a donation by cash or check. Delivering the assembled bags on the designated Sunday before Thanksgiving (addresses and driving directions are provided) is perhaps the most important contribution parishioners can make.
